The publication lists details of the vehicles that made F1 history by winning titles. The car was chosen as number 1 was the 1988 McLaren, driven by Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost in the year the Brazilian took home his first world title.<\/p>\n<p>The British team won 15 out of 16 races that season \u2013 the Brazilian driver won eight times and the Frenchman, seven. The red-and-white car scored the same amount of pole positions \u2013 15 out of 16 \u2013 most of them thanks to Ayrton, 13 versus only two by the \u201cProfessor\u201d. The car was designed by Gordon Murray and Steve Nichols. It was powered by the legendary Honda engine and rode on Goodyear tires.<\/p>\n<p>The Racing list was put together by four members of the Magazine\u2019s staff:  Venicio Zambeli, Pedro Hiraoka, Cleber Bernuci and Luiz Alberto Pandini, besides guests Chico Lelis, Lito Cavalcanti, Chico Rosa and Ricardo Divila.<\/p>\n<p>Each of the jury\u2019s members chose his ten favorite cars and those lists were combined.  The MP4\/4 McLaren took the top spot, with three votes for best car and one for second-best by the four magazine writers.<\/p>\n<p>According to the man who wrote about the car in the magazine\u2019s pages, Pandini, the competition was fierce, despite the final result. \u201cThe MP4\/4 McLaren wasn\u2019t just the best ever, but the best-driven ever\u201d, said the journalist, in reference to Ayrton Senna\u2019s and Alain Prost\u2019s skills. \u201cIt may have been the clear winner in our poll, but the other candidates had strong qualifications, such as the MP4\/2, which, for me, was an amazing car\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n<p>This issue of Racing Magazine is in newsstands for R$ 14,90<\/p>\n<p><strong>Take a look at the full list:<\/strong><br \/>\n1- McLaren MP4\/4 (1988)<br \/>\n2- Ferrari F2002<br \/>\n3-Ferrari F2004<br \/>\n4-Williams FW14 \u2013 (1991\/1992)<br \/>\n5-Lotus 72 (1970 a 1975)<br \/>\n6-Williams FW11 (1986 e 1987)<br \/>\n7-McLaren MP4\/2 (1984 a 1986)<br \/>\n8-Brawn BGP001 (2009)<br \/>\n9- Mercedes F1 W05 (2014)<br \/>\n10- Alfa Romeo 158\/159 \u2013 (1950)<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Racing Magazine\u2019s issue 333, released in May, brings a special list with the top ten cars in Formula One history.
