The book \u201c100 Senna\u201d was released in S\u00e3o Paulo this Wednesday, November 11th<\/sup>, in the week that precedes the Brazilian F1 Grand Prix. It reveals never-before-seen details of Ayrton Senna\u2019s life through objects kept by his family and that are being presented for the first time to admirers of one of the greatest drivers in history.<\/p>\n

In \u201c100 Senna\u201d, helmets, racing suits, books and trophies are part of a collection that holds lots of stories about the three-time world champion. Under care of his family and the Ayrton Senna Institute, these treasures \u2013 until now rarely seen or completely unknown \u2013 can be admired by all of his fans.<\/p>\n

\u201cMany of the pictures, as well as these items\u2019 stories, are being shared with the public for the first time\u201d, explains Celso de Campos Jr, curator and author, who used exclusive interviews with Ms. Neide, the driver\u2019s mother, as the basis for the texts that accompanies each picture. \u201cThey are objects that were part of the idol\u2019s life, and that help explain each chapter of his journey, from childhood to adulthood, from uncertainty to stardom\u201d, adds Celso de Campos Jr.<\/p>\n

The book comes from a partnership between Arte Ensaio publishing company and the Ayrton Senna Institute. It showcases 100 objects from the driver\u2019s personal and professional life, spread over more than 300 pages, accompanied by pictures from his life and career.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a special creation, since it shows important aspects of Ayrton\u2019s life that had never been revealed before. They are special moments that highlight his intense dedication and everything he had to overcome to become a national hero. Beyond that, the book helps in building our champion\u2019s legacy. It was because of his dream of giving a better life to the Brazilian people that the Ayrton Senna Institute was founded. And now it benefits around 2 million children and teenagers by offering a better public education\u201d, says Bianca Senna, Branding director of the organization and the driver\u2019s niece.<\/p>\n
