LEGO has used around half a million blocks to build a life-sized replica of the car that is 1,100 lb heavier than the original machine.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The concept behind the real car \u2013 the first one to bear the SENNA brand \u2013 was to create a street car whose DNA came from the tracks. The machine weighs 1.198 kg and goes from 0 to 120 mph in just 6.8 seconds, besides having a 210 mph top speed.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-2' class='gallery galleryid-22309 gallery-columns-3 gallery-size-thumbnail'><figure class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<div class='gallery-icon landscape'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/www.senna.com\/en\/?attachment_id=134'><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/www.senna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/ezgif-frame-014-150x150.jpg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The connection between Ayrton Senna and McLaren runs deep: he won three F1 world titles for the team (1988, 1990 and 1991).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Working 5 thousand hours, designers used 467,854 Lego blocks in order to assemble the 3,750 lb replica, including every single detail, from the seats to the steering wheel and the pedals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The LEGO version of the McLaren SENNA isn\u2019t meant to be driven on the streets or raceways, but it still has the \u201cengine\u201d button, that simulates the noise made by the supercar\u2019s engine.
