Besides being one of the most exciting races of the last few years, this edition was also marked by the celebration of the 25<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary of Ayrton Senna\u2019s legacy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Several tributes were paid to the three-time F1 champion, and some of them are highlighted below:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Bruno Senna takes the wheel of the McLaren MP4\/4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Homenagem Ayrton Senna - McLaren MP4\/4\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/S_1rPM3I7CQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bruno Senna, Ayrton\u2019s nephew, took part in one of the main homages to Ayrton in 2019. The event moved the audience, with Ayrton Senna\u2019s historic cars being driven by big motor sports stars, such as Emerson Fittipaldi, Felipe Massa, Pietro Fittipaldi, Caio Collet and Esteban Guti\u00e9rrez.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Fest\u2019s main event was the exhibition of Senna\u2019s cars: The Toleman TG184 used by the Brazilian driver in his debut season, in 1984, and the iconic Lotus 97T, the car that gave him his first victory in the category, at Estoril, Portugal, on April 21, 1985.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The crowd was also excited to see modern F1 machines, brought by Mercedes AMG Petronas Motorsport and Renault F1 Team \u2013 not to mention the Mercedes 190E with which Senna won a commemorative race for the reopening of Nurburgring, in 1984, with one of the most star-studded starting grids ever, with Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, Keke Rosberg, James Hunt, Graham Hill etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Vettel at the Ayrton Senna Institute<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.senna.com\/as-homenagens-ayrton-senna-que-marcaram-o-gp-do-brasil-de-f1\/vettel-ias\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-22860\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-22860 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.senna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/vettel-ias.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"378\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.senna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/vettel-ias.jpg 1600w, https:\/\/www.senna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/vettel-ias-300x206.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.senna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/vettel-ias-1024x703.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.senna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/vettel-ias-768x528.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.senna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/vettel-ias-1536x1055.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the week of the Brazilian F1 GP, the four-time F1 champion, Sebastian Vettel, made a \u201csurprise\u201d appearance at the Ayrton Senna Institute, in S\u00e3o Paulo. The German, currently a Ferrari driver, was able to see up-close several of Ayrton\u2019s historic items, including the 1990 McLaren with which Senna won his second world title.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vettel also received gifts from the Senna family after being welcomed by Viviane and Bianca. One of them was a bracelet in the colors of Ayrton\u2019s helmet. The German sported the bracelet throughout the Brazilin GP weekend, including onder his racing suit at Interlagos. The Brazilian even had a special helmet, exclusively designed by Ra\u00ed Caldato and made by Sid Mosca\u2019s studio.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The piece mixed and matched the designs traditionally worn by the Fittipaldi with Ayrton Senna\u2019s iconic helmet.
