Ayrton Senna will be honored by the Automotive Hall of Fame (AHF) in the United States during a ceremony scheduled for September 25, 2025, in Detroit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe 2025 class of inductees demonstrates the remarkable impact individuals have had on the automotive industry and their far-reaching influence,\u201d says Sarah Cook, president of the AHF. \u201cThis distinguished group of pioneers and visionaries has shaped our industry in extraordinary ways, and we are thrilled to celebrate their achievements as they take their rightful place in the Hall of Fame,\u201d she adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the AHF, Ayrton Senna is celebrated as one of the greatest drivers in Formula 1 history, with three world championships, 41 victories, 80 podium finishes, and 65 pole positions. Known for his extraordinary skill, relentless pursuit of excellence, and commitment to safety, Senna\u2019s actions led to significant advancements in motorsport safety standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond his accomplishments on the track, Senna remains a source of inspiration for millions worldwide. His values inspired the creation of the Ayrton Senna Institute, which has been working for over 30 years to improve public education and create opportunities for children and young people in Brazil\u2014reflecting his legacy and commitment to social impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to Ayrton Senna, three other honorees will be celebrated for their contributions to the automotive and mobility sectors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Betty Skelton<\/strong> \u2013 Trailblazing test driver and land speed records holder, known for her influential role in developing and promoting the Chevrolet Corvette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

David E. Davis Jr.<\/strong> \u2013 Renowned automotive journalist and founder of Automobile Magazine<\/em>, whose groundbreaking storytelling redefined automotive journalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dieter Zetsche<\/strong> \u2013 Visionary leader of Daimler AG, credited with steering Mercedes-Benz into a new era of global success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Confirmed Tribute Speakers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ayrton Senna\u2019s niece and CEO of Senna Brands, Bianca Senna, is confirmed as an official tribute speaker honoring her uncle during the ceremony. She will be joined by other notable figures in the global automotive industry:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark Reuss<\/strong>: President of General Motors, who will honor Betty Skelton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eddie Alterman<\/strong>: Chief Brand Officer at Hearst Autos, who will honor David E. Davis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roger Penske: <\/strong>Chairperson of Penske Corporation, will honor Dieter Zetsche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Automotive Hall of Fame<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Automotive Hall of Fame (AHF)<\/a> is a nonprofit organization that honors and celebrates the leaders and innovators of the automotive and mobility industries through awards and programs that showcase their achievements. Founded in 1939, the AHF has honored over 300 individuals from around the world whose work has shaped and influenced the automotive and mobility sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
