In 1988, Senna decided to play football in the island of Bali, in Indonesia, where He was celebrating his first world title, secured at the Japanese GP, one week earlier. The driver tried playing as goalie and… Let’s just say the result could’ve been better. Check out a few newspaper articles about Senna’s dislocated right hand when he still had to compete in the Australian GP – even though he was already champion.

“I’m crazy to sit in the car and see if it hurts to ride, but if it hurts, it’s going to be just a little bit. There’s no chance I will not run because of it,” Senna said, moving his right hand, still a little swollen by the guts he had taken.
