Ayrton Senna’s life and career, both on and off the track, cemented his status as a national hero and an enduring symbol of resilience, talent, and inspiration. Capturing this essence is at the heart of “The Truth In Your Eyes”, a collaborative project by the agency Asia and Stink Films for Senna Brands, the company dedicated to preserving the legendary driver’s legacy. The short film blends fantasy and reality to recreate iconic moments from the three-time Formula 1 world champion’s career, bridging the gap between past and present generations. The film premieres this Friday (21), on what would have been Ayrton Senna’s 65th birthday.
With illustrations by Butcher Billy and direction by Ricardo Jones, the film is built around the concept of Seek Your Truth and presents Senna’s journey in a more imaginative, less conventional way. One standout sequence reimagines his famous rivalry with Nigel Mansell, portraying a lion—symbolizing the British driver’s nickname—relentlessly chasing Senna’s car on a racetrack. Adding to the film’s emotional depth is the use of Senna’s own voice in the narration, recreated through AI-generated audio.
“Creating anything about a legend like Ayrton Senna is an enormous responsibility,” says Vico Benevides, CCO of Asia. “We aimed to honor his memory and highlight the invaluable lessons he left behind—perseverance, determination, focus, and discipline. Having Butcher Billy’s distinctive artwork and Jones’ direction helped us achieve the best possible result.”

The short film was first unveiled exclusively at the December 2024 edition of CCXP and is now available on Senna’s official social media channels. Accompanying the release is a collection of 41 brand-new posters, each inspired by frames from the animation and symbolizing Senna’s 41 Formula 1 victories. The project will also travel to schools and communities across Brazil, introducing Ayrton Senna’s legacy to a new generation of fans and admirers.
