Today, any internet user who visits the world`s biggest search engine and one of the most popular webpages on the planet will find another interesting tribute to Ayrton Senna: Google is celebrating the driver`s birthday (March 21st) by honoring the three-time F-1 world champion with one of its main icons: the doodle.

Do you know what a doodle is? They are “fun, surprising, and sometimes spontaneous changes that are made to the Google logo to celebrate holidays, anniversaries, and the lives of famous artists, pioneers, and scientists”, as the website`s own official page explains. All you have to do is type the website`s address to find the tribute to Senna on March 21st.

The first doodle was created in 1988 by Google`s own founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Now, the company has a special division dedicated to them, with a team of illustrators and designers working at Google`s headquarters, in California, USA, where Ayrton Senna`s doodle was created.

“It`s a beautiful and significant tribute, that is sure to please fans. It also reflects some of Ayrton`s characteristics, with its worldwide reach and, obviously, speed”, says Bianca Senna, citing Google`s most important feature: its lightning-fast web-searches.

The doodle is part of an extensive calendar of tributes and events to remember the story of a driver who made Brazil proud with his victories, both in and out of the track. The legacy of Brazilian sports’ unforgettable idol turns 20 this year, along with Ayrton Senna Institute, which capacitates 75 thousand teachers and helps 2 million public school students each year.
